BREAKING: US and Israel Strike Back on Iran
02-28-2026
The United States and Israel have launched a joint attack against Iran in a major combat operation. We're told this is in response to Iran's nuclear developments and imminent threats against both countries and Iran's supreme leader has now been killed.
Please pray for peace. Please pray for our incredible servicemen and women.
Click here to watch President Trump's statement regarding this news. We also need to pray for wisdom for our leaders, for Israel's protection, and for the innocent people of Iran who have yearned for freedom for many, many years. President Trump said, "Iran is the world’s number one state sponsor of terror, and just recently killed tens of thousands of its own citizens on the street as they protested. It has always been the policy of the United States, in particular my administration, that this terrorist regime can never have a nuclear weapon...It’s been mass terror, and we’re not going to put up with it any longer."
This is a climactic moment in history. As Christians, we respond with prayer and ask for our Lord Jesus to lead the way.

Honoring Royce Williams and Eric Slover
Today, we must view challenges as opportunities to advance the good and never give up. The Bible says, "Do not be overcome by evil, but overcome evil with good."
During the State of the Union, two heroes received much-deserved recognition for overcoming evil with good. In this edition of Unite the USA, we felt compelled to give these examples of courage and hope. Their stories of grit and valor inspire us all to keep on keeping on both as Christians and as Americans. Chief Warrant Officer Eric Slover and Korean War veteran U.S. Navy Captain E. Royce Williams were each awarded the Congressional Medal of Honor.
On January 3, 2026, Eric Slover piloted a Chinook helicopter into heavy enemy fire during the incredible military operation to Venezuela to capture Nicolás Maduro. Shot four times and with a severely injured leg, he kept flying. He saved lives and was a key reason the mission was successful. "The success of the entire mission and the lives of his fellow warriors hinged on Eric’s ability to take searing pain” (SOTU, 2026).
After a mere seven weeks after sustaining serious injuries during the mission, Eric Slover appeared bravely standing to receive the Congressional Medal of Honor. (He is still recovering and we ask you to join us in prayer as he heals.) President Trump described Eric's heroism, “Eric maneuvered his helicopter with all of those lives and souls to face the enemy, and let his gunners eliminate the threat, turn the helicopter around so the gunners could take care of business, saving the lives of his fellow warriors from what could have been a catastrophic crash deep in enemy territory. . ."
During the SOTU, the president then presented the Medal of Honor to Captain Williams who is 100 years old. He was finally recognized for his extraordinary long-classified combat valor during the Korean War. Captain Williams declared with passion, "Jesus Christ is my Savior and I think He puts people on earth with a purpose and evidently I had one to serve and I gave it my best."
On Nov. 18, 1952, Williams launched from the deck of the USS Oriskany in his F9F-5 Panther fighter aircraft. He quickly found himself in a solo dogfight against seven Soviet MiG-15 jets. It was a battle that lasted a long 35 minutes. Captain Williams shot down four enemy aircraft. He survived a 37mm cannon and he still managed to return to his carrier off the North Korean coast. The next day, the crew counted 263 holes that stippled plane's frame.
Congressman Darrell Issa said it well, “My friend, constituent, and hero Royce Williams is 100 years young, a Top Gun pilot like no other, and an American hero for all time,” Issa said in a statement. “The heroism and valor he demonstrated for more than 35 harrowing minutes almost 70 years ago in the skies over the North Pacific and the coast of North Korea unquestionably saved the lives of his fellow pilots, shipmates, and crew. His story is one for the ages and it now has its rightful chapter as Royce receives the Medal of Honor.”
Both of these heroes showed remarkable strength, selflessness, and courage. We are grateful for these extraordinary heroes and it's wonderful they have been honored which they so deserve.
During these dark times, let's remember Eric Slover and Royce Williams. May their heroism and courage inspire us to do everything we can in our own lives to help others.
We must never allow evil to eclipse our focus on the good. God remains good. Christ will return and make things right. No pain (including like that of heroes like Eric Slover) will be wasted as it is given to our good Lord and advance the good.
Philippians 3:13-14 which says it well: "Brothers and sisters, I do not consider myself yet to have taken hold of it. But one thing I do: Forgetting what is behind and straining toward what is ahead, I press on toward the goal to win the prize for which God has called me heavenward in Christ Jesus."
Today, may we all determine to be God's usable instruments to advance the good and be intentionally grateful for His ultimate victory.

Eric Slover & Royce Williams Receive the Medal of Honor
It is heartening to watch both Eric Slover and Royce Williams receive the Congressional Medal of Honor. As Royce Williams said following receiving the Medal of Honor, "Just like any other sailor, and soldier, which I was once, set out to be good at whatever I do for my country. All I say is God bless America and all Glory to God."

About the Congressional Medal of Honor
By Military.com
The Medal of Honor is the highest military award. It is given to military members, often posthumously, for "conspicuous gallantry and intrepidity at the risk of life above and beyond the call of duty." The Medal of Honor is awarded by the U.S. president, typically during a formal ceremony at the White House.
The Medal of Honor has been awarded more than 3,500 times to members of the Army, Air Force, Navy, Coast Guard and Marine Corps. While the medal is earned in recognition of specific actions, it's never considered "won."
Although more rarely awarded today, the award has been used more liberally in the past. For example, more than 40% of Medal of Honor awards occurred during the Civil War or in the several years after the award was originally created in 1861.
A small number of service members have received the Medal of Honor twice, all for actions during or before World War I. Theodore Roosevelt is the only president to have been awarded the Medal of Honor. He was given it posthumously in 2001 in recognition of his actions during the Spanish-American War 100 years prior.
Dr. Mary Walker, a civilian who served with the Army during the Civil War, is the only female Medal of Honor recipient.

How to Know Jesus
Question: How do Stacie and Carrie know they'll go to Heaven?
Answer: It's not because of what they've done or who they are. It's because Jesus lives in them. Anything good in them is because of Jesus in them. They know God and His love in a personal way. They've followed what God said in His book: the Bible. They invited Jesus to be their Savior and Lord. You, too, can know God. Yes, He really does love you!
Take His Word for it:For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life. -John 3:16 (NKJV)
For all have sinned; all fall short of God's glorious standard.-Rom. 3:23 (NLV)
For God sent Jesus to take the punishment for our sins and to satisfy God's anger against us. We are made right with God when we believe that Jesus shed his blood, sacrificing his life for us... -Rom. 3:25 (NLV)
That if you confess with your mouth the Lord Jesus and believe in your heart that God has raised Him from the dead, you will be saved. -Rom. 10:9 (NKJV)
Understand that God loves you with infinite love! God is good, holy and righteous and we fall short of His perfection. So we need a Mediator, Jesus, who lovingly took our punishment for all our mistakes.
Believe that Jesus is God's Son that took your punishment. He took your punishment for all your sins (anti-God ways) and that He rose from the dead for you, __________.
Repent (turn away from) your sins (anti-God ways) and submit yourself to Him as your Lord.
Receive Jesus as your personal Savior and Lord. Talk to God and give your life to Jesus.
Pray from your heart. If it helps, pray something like this:
God, I understand now...You sent Jesus to share Your love and make it possible for me to be Yours. Please forgive me for all my sins. Jesus, I believe you took my punishment on the cross and that you rose from the dead for me personally. I turn away from doing things "my way" and ask that You rule my life, Jesus. I receive You as my Savior and Lord. I put my trust in You not in the things I do. I love You.
In Jesus' Name, Amen.
